Starbucks already had a kiosk at the Centreparcs in Woburn, but it required replacing, as it had aged. Being adjacent to a swimming pool area, the environment in which it is situated is quite harsh, in terms of humidity.

Working directly for Barlows Interiors Limited, the design and drawing work was produced to bring the various components of the kiosk together, with the initial concept being developed by Starbucks themselves. The purpose of this work was to ensure that all the various elements, from the Steel framing to the pre-manufactured units, to the tiles, all 'fitted' together.

Some elements required designing completely, based on the concept drawings from Starbucks, such as the front counter area. Material choice formed a key element of the design process, due to the environment in which the Kiosk was to be installed.
